Updates and Closures

  • Fri., July 4 - Long Bridge will be open from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Family Play time will be from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. and the competition pool will close at 1 p.m. Center parking lot will be closed at 3 p.m.

Aqua Fitness Summer Showcase

Get ready to make a splash at our Aqua Fitness Showcase on Sat., July 26. Try new classes for all fitness levels, meet others, and enjoy a refreshing way to stay active. There's something for everyone. Learn more!

Fitness @ Long Bridge 

Yoga    

Drop in for yoga to flow and connect one posture to the next… breathe through your poses to balance and enhance strength. Mondays 6-6:45 p.m., Tuesdays 1:05-1:35 p.m., Thursdays 12:15-1 p.m. and Saturdays: 8-8:45 a.m. Free with a LBAFC fitness membership 

 

Muscle Blast   

Drop in and get your heartrate up and get your resistance training in with weight, TRX, kettlebell, ball, BOSU or band exercises. We’ll work most muscles and challenge your balance before stretching it out in this indoor muscle blast class. Tuesdays 12:15-1 p.m., Wednesdays 6:30-7:15 a.m. and Thursdays 11:40 a.m.-12:10 p.m. Free with a LBAFC fitness membership.    

 

Cycle   

Warm-up, climb, sprint, interval train and cool-down. Any fitness level is welcome to drop in and go at your own pace. Sundays 8:15-9 a.m., Mondays 6:30-7:15 a.m. and Thursdays 7-7:45 p.m. Free with a LBAFC fitness membership 

 

Free Equipment Orientation 

New to the fitness center or just need a refresher? Join us on Thu., July 31 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. to learn how to safely and confidently use the equipment. Sign up at the front desk or email Shanan Knox.

Summer Teen Nights are Back! 

School's out and Summer 2025 Teen Nights are just getting started! Come hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy music, games, food and more! The next event is on Sat., July 12 from 7-10 p.m. at Arlington Mill Community Center.

Looking for a way to keep the kids active and smiling this summer? Join us for Bounce in the Park-- a free, fun-filled event featuring bounce houses and outdoor excitement for children ages 3-9. Summer Camps for Kids and Teens

Still looking for summer camps for your kids? Check out these two nature-filled options that offer creativity and adventure. 

 

NaturePlay is for rising 2nd through 5th grades. Campers will play games, do art projects, and explore the outdoors with a naturalist at Madison Community Center. Click here to sign up

Parks & Recreation classes, camps, fitness memberships, preschools, programs and more are at a price you can afford! Our fee reduction program helps Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day! Access for All. Whether you have a short-term set back or something longer term, we're here to help.

 

Additionally, all Parks & Recreation programs, classes and camps can put modifications in place to promote an enjoyable and successful program experience for participants of all abilities. Advance notice is welcome. Call 703-228-4740 or email trinfo@arlingtonva.us.

 

Stop by our office at Lubber Run Community Center on select Saturdays to get help with registration, create an account, get login information, renew or apply for fee reductions, drop off registration forms, set up payment plans and more. The DPR Administrative Services Office at Lubber Run Community Center also has extended after hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 –7 p.m. for in-person assistance.
