Watch the July 1 Work Session at 7 p.m.
A comprehensive condition assessment of Accotink Creek was completed in 2024, resulting in seven options for potential future stream restoration projects. Staff will present options to the city council during tonight's work session (7/1).
The presentation will provide a summary of the condition assessment project, review the seven potential stream restoration project areas, and summarize the feedback received from the community.
Preliminary engineering for future stream restoration projects was included in the adopted FY 2026 capital improvements budget. Staff seeks feedback from the council on recommendations to prioritize three stream segments.
