A Metrobus by Any Other Name...

This past Sunday, WMATA kicked off its redesign of the Metrobus network. All Metrobus routes are have new names based on what jurisdiction they primarily serve, some routes have been redrawn to go to new destinations, and some stops have been consolidated.

Do you know the name of your new routes?

Try these tips from WMATA:

  1. Check out the new bus network route and system maps on the Better Bus website
  2. Look out for updated signs at your local bus stops to see what your new route is called

What about ART buses?

Arlington's ART bus service and stops did not change as part of WMATA's redesign. So if your usual bus is green and white, like ART 45, your route and stops are the same.

Learn all about it at WMATA.com/betterbus.

Three Eagle Screeches for Prepared Parking

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all drivers should be equipped with the tools to find parking quickly before they leave for their destination.

Celebrate your freedom from the search for parking. If you must drive on July 4, use the apps recommended by the Performance Parking Pilot project to help you find available spaces near your destination.

The what pilot?

The Performance Parking Pilot unites parking space occupancy technology and pricing tools to provide better information on parking availability and influence demand for metered curb space in the County's Rosslyn-Ballston and Route 1 corridors.
