Dear Reader,

We’ve been publishing our Picture Prompts series four days a week during the school year since 2016.

These short, accessible, image-driven prompts invite students to pen short stories, poems and memoirs; share experiences from their lives; analyze illustrations, graphs and charts; and tell us their opinions on hot-button issues.

In our new collection, “143 Picture Prompts to Inspire Student Writing,” we’ve rounded up all the prompts we published for the 2024-25 school year.

Sincerely,
The Learning Network

P.S. Week 6 of our Summer Reading Contest begins today.
