Working Lunch

Monday, July 14, 2025

It's lunchtime, Chicago.

Rabid Brewing Owner Raiye Rosado said the hardest part about losing a bid in May to move her brewery into the Homewood-owned space Park Plaza West was the potential loss of collective space for the LGBTQ+ community and other “folks that are othered in some other spaces.” But she said opportunities have popped up for other locations for her business to expand its inclusive outreach.

Several communities — including Highland Park, Schaumburg, Glen Ellyn and Lombard — have recently imposed age limits on riders, while Burr Ridge has banned e-scooters from its streets.
