The Republican-controlled House voted to give final passage to $9 billion in spending cuts aimed at public broadcasting and foreign aid, sending the package to President Donald Trump to sign into law.

The measure cuts $1.1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which provides funding for NPR and PBS. It cuts another $8 billion from foreign aid, including to USAID and programs to promote global health and refugee assistance.
