When Daibelis Guzmán sat down to study for the MCAS exam in her sophomore year, it was a no-brainer. Guzmán, like many of her peers in school, is still learning English. “I was saying to myself, ‘Oh my God, my English isn’t getting better, what am I going to do?’” Enter ChatGPT. Studies show that a majority of students across backgrounds are more than willing to use AI tools for help with schoolwork. Not all of those uses are so innocuous.
