This week's recipe: Sausage rolls

Despite summer being over, Mary Berry’s picnic sausage rolls still go down a treat throughout the autumnal months. Having a quick, easy snack already made to have on the go or to heat up in the oven for a picky spread is great if you want to save time when preparing food.

The recipe notes on Good Food said: “Mary’s homemade sausage rolls will always be the first to go at a party. They’re really easy to make and absolutely delicious.”

They’re made with pork, but there’s also a veggie version available if you don’t eat meat. There’s only a handful of ingredients involved in this dish, making it the perfect budget-friendly treat too.

Delicious whether they’re eaten warm from the oven or even after a few days in the fridge, these sausage rolls will be your new go-to recipe when a quick lunch is calling your name.
