Happy Friday!

So I've never really celebrated Halloween because growing up, my religious mother was #nothavingit. We'd still dress up sometimes for school, and she wasn't bothered if we brought a ton of candy home. And now I'm an adult who dresses up at conventions and Renaissance faires.

Once we were in the house after school, she slapped a sign on the door that basically said "Go away," and we ate our candy while watching TV.

But I've become so conditioned that I fully plan on doing the same tonight, but with a horror movie (and a costume idea for my next nerdy adventure).

I would never say that I'm a huge horror movie fan, but I love something that gets the heart pumping. I recently watched Final Destination for the first time, and let me tell y'all, I am OBSESSED. A marathon of those movies genuinely sounds like fun to me.

You might be thinking, "Girl, do those movies not give you anxiety?" And my answer is "no" because, as I am famously known for saying, "I'm here for a good time, not a long time."
