A quick missive to share an interview I did in PRINT magazine, with Steven Heller. Steven has been a creative force in the world of magazines and books for decades. Previously the art editor at the NY Times Book Review, Heller was the youngest art director for The New York Times Op-Ed page, which was a wonderful place to see political art. I came of age as an artist consuming those pages daily, anticipating how the news would be dipicted in wordless art. When a book came out called “Art of the Times,” by Jean-Claude Suares, I studied the art back and forwards, endlessly. Here is a great video about this art if you’re interested: https://www.nytimes.com/video/opinion/1248069084640/op-ed-at-40-four-decades-of-art.html?smid=url-share Anyway, here is the interview with Steven, it was an honor. I hope you enjoy. And please come see us at the screenings in NYC! And spread the word if you can! The NYC Screenings of WOMEN LAUGHING in Manhattan: TICKETS and info More later!
