This week, we have no new releases. Instead, we’ll be keeping you updated on our progress with LearnDash 5.0 and sharing news about our team.

First, we have pushed back the launch of LearnDash 5.0. Why the delay? 

Because 5.0 is a significant step forward, and we want to get it right. This release introduces foundational changes to how LearnDash works behind the scenes. It’s more than an update—it’s a modernization of the platform.

That deserves the time it takes to ensure performance, stability, and a smooth experience for every user. We’ll use this time to:

• Run deeper internal testing 

• Gather feedback from early users 

• Give you more time to prepare for what’s ahead 

If you’re running active courses, our goal is to make 5.0 feel like a strategic upgrade.

Recently, LearnDash, along with other brands under the StellarWP umbrella, experienced some team changes as part of a broader restructuring by our parent company, Liquid Web. While we shared this update in our Facebook group, we want to make sure all customers are informed.

Although we said goodbye to some valued colleagues, our core team remains focused and fully committed to supporting your courses, learners, and business. 

The same product, support, and success teams are still here to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience. LearnDash remains dedicated to helping you build effective and engaging learning programs—and we are moving forward with that mission at the center of everything we do.

Prepare for LearnDash 5.0

LearnDash 5.0 is right around the corner. While this update will only impact LearnDash sites with customizations, integrations, and add-ons that rely on our REST API v2, it is important to prepare in advance. To help all customers prepare, we created a preparation guide. Use it to find out if you have anything on your site that connects to the API and how to prepare to update.
