Dear Friend,
As the weather gets colder and the days shorter, we at Serica love nothing more than sharing stories of the AAPI diaspora with you from the comfort of your own living room! Tonight, at 6:30pm ET, we're excited to present a virtual Serica Storytellers event with Joanna Choi Kalbus and Glen Loveland, whose memoirs take us on journeys of displacement, discovery, and cultural transformation. We'll host our third and final opportunity this year to meet the team at the Holiday Giving Appreciation Campaign. And we'll be rounding out our events for 2025 with a very special in-person Serica Storytellers with CUNY Presidents Frank Wu and David Wu on December 2!
In this month's newsletter, we're celebrating a recent win at the 2025 New York Emmys for our Climate Artists collaboration with ALL ARTS. We're also
highlighting recaps from a slew of recent events including Voices Rising: Asian Americans in Motion, an afternoon with Shen Wei, CEO Dinner guest Yasheng Huang, and Serica Storytellers Yiming Ma, Gish Jen, and Michael Yamashita. And, as always, treat yourself to some wonderful events and updates from our community partners.
From all of us here, thank you for all you do for our community!
Cheers,
Daniel Tam-Claiborne
Deputy Director, The Serica Initiative
