Festive fever hits city: A new festive pudding float will feature in Mount Gambier's Christmas Parade this Saturday. Thousands of people are expected to watch more than 50 colourful floats meander along Commercial Street from Crouch Street North to Vansittart Park, starting at 11am. Jetty closure continues: Robe's damaged jetty is not expected to reopen in time for summer, according to the local council. The council is continuing to work with engineers and the state government to fund repairs. The jetty was significantly damaged by destructive storms that battered the coastline earlier this year. Chief executive officer Nat Traeger says the council is sifting through two independent marine engineer reports.
