The above is a cartoon of mine that was published in The New Yorker. It’s a personal favorite. I came up with the idea, and then decided the person instructing the clown men to get into the car (clown car, get it?) should be a woman. Women know funny. Just a few notes today, all about Epstein Files. I cannot wait for it all to hit the fan next week. In the meantime, we will watch to see how Trump tries to make this a non-issue. He may invade another country, don’t think he won’t. The Epstein File House vote will happen next week. Speaker Johnson announded that they will vote on a measure mandating the full disclosure of Justice Department files related to Epstein. According to Politico, Senior Officials expect a lot of Republicans to vote for thie release. Democrat Rep Ro Khanna, forecast that between 40 and 50 Republicans could vote to release the files in a final vote. The legislation would still have to go to the Senate, where it is unlikely to pass. Trump, who was “equivocal on whether he would release the files on the campaign trail last year, could veto a final bill even if it passed both houses.” But if the number of GOP vote to release the files is high, it would be politically very bad for Trump. Today, Trump directed Pam Bondi, FBI Director, to being an investigation into prominent Democrats who are connected to Epstein by appointing a prosecutor (we’ve always known some are named in the files, although no one is accused of wrongdoing). Trump still calls it the “Epstein Hoax,” and says the Dems are using it to distract from the recent shutdown. Another interview on the radio about WOMEN LAUGHING, this time with the wonderful Joe Donohue of WAMC. His show is called Rountable, and Joe is a master interviewer. It was a thrill to hear him say at the top of the interview: “I just adored this film. It’s damn perfect.” Joe Donahue, WAMC There are still a few tickets left for our screeing tomorrow in NYC, and on Monday. Here is more info and tickets! Thanks for being here, all.
