| The basis of a hit Netflix show, this gothic novel begins with the discovery of the mangled corpse of a young girl in the woods of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania. The authorities launch a determined manhunt, though they aren’t entirely sure it’s a man they’re looking for at all.
Some suspect that a creation escaped from the White Tower, an ominous biotech facility owned by the Godfrey family that is rumored to conduct unethical biological experiments. Others are suspicious of the trailer-trash Gypsy teen, Peter Rumancek, who has divulged to his classmates that he’s a werewolf. Some even suspect the son of the late JR Godfrey, Roman, who rules the youth-filled social scene with a cool arrogance and unquestionable status, despite his ties to his unusual sister, Shelley, who has an array of monstrous medical conditions, and his otherworldly controlling mother, Olivia.
