Archer Aviation has partnered with LA28 and Team USA to use air taxis to transport people between venues during the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Demonstration flights are slated for next year with Archer's Midnight air taxi. Archer also has acquired Hawthorne Airport, which is near major Olympic venues, to serve as an operational hub.

Shaw Lundquist Associates has received a building permit for a $15.6 million US Customs and Border Protection facility at St. Paul Downtown Holman Field. The 4,800-square-foot facility will replace a smaller CBP location and process 100 to 150 international flights annually. The project, funded by state and federal grants and General Airport Revenue bonds, will include sustainability features such as a green roof, geothermal heat pumps and solar panels.
