Dear Franklin Sherman ES Parents/Guardians,
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the parents of our 2nd, 5th, and 3rd-grade students who attended our Morning Meeting and joined me for "Coffee with the Principal." Your presence makes a real difference, and the insightful conversations we shared are invaluable to our school community. Thank you for making the time to connect!
I am excited to welcome more families to morning meeting and coffee with the principal in the coming weeks:
- This Week: We look forward to seeing the parents of our 4th and 1st-grade students.
- Next Week: We will host the parents of our Kindergarten and 6th-grade students.
Please take a moment to add these key dates to your family's calendar:
- Tuesday, November 25th: Turkey Trot!
- Come out and show your support! You can cheer on your student, run alongside them, or volunteer to help us count the total laps completed by our energetic students.
- Wednesday, December 3rd: PTA Meeting & Wellness Night
- Join us for our PTA meeting, immediately followed by a special Wellness Night. We will have babysitting and pizza for students at 5:30 and then all are welcome as we will be learning and practicing practical strategies to help keep us all calm and refreshed as we navigate the busy holiday.
Sincerely,
Farris Thomas Principal Franklin Sherman ES

This year’s theme for our yearbook is “Keep on Growing!” Thank you to Rory G in 4th Grade for coming up with this theme!
The theme "Keep On Growing" is about celebrating the amazing progress, learning, and changes you experienced throughout this school year. Just like a tiny seed sprouts and becomes a big, strong plant, you have all grown so much—getting smarter, making new friends, discovering new talents, and learning how to be the best you can be. This theme encourages us to look forward to all the wonderful things we will continue to learn and achieve as we keep moving up. It reminds us that every day is a chance to learn something new and become a better person!
All students have been given a sheet of directions to follow for entering the contest, but families who need an extra copy of the contest directions can download with the link. Please follow all of the directions on the handout carefully and get the cardstock paper from Ms. Eaton.
Join us in celebrating our wonderful Music Teacher, Ms. Nevills, who has earned the SMART/MAHER VFW Citizenship Education Teacher Award!
The VFW selected her for her commitment to instilling values like respect, civic responsibility, and patriotism. Her work ensures our students are not just learning notes, but becoming informed and engaged citizens.
Thank you, Mrs. Nevills, for shaping the our Panda patriots! |
