Roadrunner Rundown
November 17, 2025
Principal's Message
Dear Marshall Road Families,
The cold weather this weekend was a good reminder that we have entered a new season for how we dress for school. We encourage students to wear layers so they are comfortable when outdoors whether during the cold mornings or milder afternoons. We want our students to be prepared to go outside for recess on cold days as it is important that outdoor movement and exercise is part of their day. We will monitor the weather for low temperatures, wind chill advisories and warnings, and weather advisories which may prevent children from being outside. Make sure your child is dressed appropriately with a warm coat and other cold-weather clothing, so they can comfortably enjoy their time outdoors.
Have a great week.
Much peace.

Consistency Matters
We have 6 days of school left before Thanksgiving Break. Set a family goal to be on time and not miss a day.
Picture Retakes and Make-Ups
Picture retakes are scheduled for this Wednesday, November 19. If you have not told your child’s teacher that you would like a retake, please do so today. Also, if you ordered a package and want a retake you must have your child bring the package to the photographer on Wednesday. Students who have not previously ordered can still place a preorder for retake day using this link. Questions about ordering? Email Victor O'Neill at underclass@vosphoto.com.
Cafeteria Thanksgiving Lunch for Students
The cafeteria will be serving Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 20. Please share the menu with your children to see if they would like to purchase lunch that day. One important change to this menu is we do not serve the PB&J Power Packs as we are a nut-free school.

PTA Update
We surpassed our Runathon goal with an incredible total of $57,129.50!
Thank you so much for your support—this was truly a community effort. Donations came from piggy banks, parents, grandparents, family members, friends, neighbors, former parents, teachers, former teachers, local businesses, and community members. Marshall Road is a community of learners, and this achievement shows what we can do when we come together for our students.
The MRES PTA is committed to using these funds to help create meaningful learning experiences for all students, show appreciation for our wonderful MRES staff, support scholarships, and promote environmental and community stewardship.
Thank you all for your incredible support, and a huge shoutout to the volunteers who worked for weeks to make this happen. Special thanks to our treasurer, Dominique Dolhon, for the extra hours and dedication.
And now… the winner announcements! Ms. Oh’s class earned the honor of naming the bus lane, and 2nd grade won an extra recess! Please check the link for the full list.

MRES Staff Spotlight - Ms. Davidson Hooray for Ms. Davidson, our amazing Social Worker who snagged the PTA Priority Parking Spot this week! Ms. Davidson has been at MRES for 13 years!
When asked what she loves most about MRES, Ms. Davidson said: “Marshall Road goes above and beyond for students. And it’s a big family, with the occasional hiccups that come with family, but a big family that loves one another. Oh, and it is filled with helpers. Just like Mr. Rogers’ mom told him, look for the helpers and you will always find people who are helping.”
Outside of school, Ms. Davidson enjoys exploring barn sales, estate sales, thrift stores, antique shops and spotting the occasional random treasure on the side of the road with friends who enjoy the thrill of the hunt. She also loves gardening, decorating, serving her church community, and enjoying time with family and friends.
Fun facts: Ms. Davidson ran a marathon in Hawaii! Despite her life-long fear of heights, Ms. Davidson has walked across the Mackinaw Bridge several times and climbed the 674 steps to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Go Ms. Davidson!
