Hey!
One of the hardest things to get right when you're new to design is white space — how much padding you should have in a card, or how much margin there should be between elements, or even how much space there should be between two lines of text in the same paragraph.
A while back I came up with a trick that made it a lot easier for me to get these decisions right, so I thought it would be helpful to share a chapter from Refactoring UI that explains my approach:

If you're interested in picking up the whole book but still on the fence, check out this in-depth review from Ben Nadel, co-founder of InVision.
Here's a small part of it:
"The content is amazing; the writing is super clear and immediately to-the-point; and, the concepts are so simple that I feel a little bit of shame over the fact that I didn't know all of this stuff already. If you're a front-end developer who wants to get better at design, this is definitely a recommended read."

You can get the complete package which includes a ton of additional resources for $149, or if you just want the book + screencasts, pick those up for $99:
Thanks so much for keeping up with what we're working on, and I hope you enjoy the chapter!
