It's a First Alert Friday morning due to the frigid air in place today. Make sure to bundle up when you head outside. Other top news we're following includes a woman pushed onto the tracks at North Station, falling equipment near Fenway Park, and testimony in the Brian Walshe murder trial yesterday that detailed Ana Walshe's affair. Feels-like temperatures started the day below zero in many neighborhoods. By afternoon, feels-like temps will only climb into the teens and low 20s. We’ll see mostly sunny skies today.

During a public meeting last month in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, a procession of speakers demanded an explanation from the Hopkinton Police Department about how the agency handled a situation involving a convicted sex offender.

As we first reported in an extensive NBC10 Boston investigation, surveillance video showed the night Petros Sismanis assaulted a teen employee in the supply closet in the basement of his business, Hillers Pizza.

The video also revealed Sismanis followed the victim and her mom to the parking lot, pleading with them not to call the police and blocking the vehicle from leaving.

The focus in the murder trial of Brian Walshe turned Thursday to an affair his wife was having before he allegedly killed and dismembered her on New Year’s Day 2023.

Ana Walshe, a real estate agent who immigrated from Serbia, was last seen early on Jan. 1, 2023, following a New Year’s Eve dinner at her Massachusetts home. Her body has never been found. Her husband, Brian Walshe faces a first-degree murder charge, after agreeing to plead guilty last month to lesser charges of misleading police and willfully disposing of a human body in violation of state law.

William Fastow told the court on the fourth day of the trial that he met Ana Walshe in March 2022 when he sold her a townhouse in Washington, D.C. He said the relationship quickly intensified as they became close friends and confidants and eventually had an “intimate relationship.” They went out to dinner and to bars together, he said, and she would spend time on his sailboat and stay overnight at his home. They also took a Thanksgiving trip to Ireland.

A woman was pushed onto the tracks at North Station in Boston on Thursday, according to MBTA Transit Police.

T police said the woman was pushed from behind by an unknown male. They believe the suspect may be a homeless person who frequents the area.

The incident happened on the Green Line platform.

A person suffered serious injuries after being hit with falling debris outside Fenway Park, the Boston Police Department said Thursday night.

Authorities said the incident happened on Jersey Street.

The victim was hit with a piece of signage or equipment, police said.

Chants in support of immigrants echoed across the Boston City Hall Plaza Thursday as demonstrators voiced anger over new federal measures, including a pause on immigration applications from 19 countries, including Afghanistan, Cuba, Venezuela, Haiti and Somalia.

Boston City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune urged residents not to become numb to the actions of the Trump administration.

“We need to not normalize what this president is doing,” she said.
