With the upheaval in the Quebec Liberal Party continuing to grow, there are rumours that a petition calling for the resignation of Leader Pablo Rodriguez is circulating in the ranks, The Gazette’s Philip Authier writes.
News of the petition landed the day after Rodriguez excluded a second MNA from his caucus — further fuelling the crisis atmosphere in the party — and the same day a “brownie bill” was introduced that would make vote-buying illegal, in response to allegations that certain Quebec Liberal Party members received “brownies” — or $100 bills — to support Rodriguez.
