Using a Multi-Channel Oscilloscope for Synchronized Voltage-Current-Power Measurement

How to Operate?

Voltage Measurement (Channel 1)

Directly connect oscilloscope Channel 1 to the voltage output terminal of the circuit under test. Add the average value measurement function to obtain real-time voltage data.

Current Measurement (Channel 2)

Use a current clamp and attach it to the current loop. Adjust the probe ratio according to the current clamp's range (if the current clamp uses a 10mV/A range, set Channel 2's probe ratio to "×100"), and change the measurement unit to "A". Then, add the average value measurement, and the oscilloscope will accurately display the current value.

Power Calculation (Math Function)

Use the oscilloscope's math function (Math) to multiply Channel1(voltage) and Channel2(current). This will automatically generate a power waveform and display the power value (unit: W). The measurement results are highly consistent with the electronic load!

Oscilloscope Output Power Measured: 67.67W

Electronic Load Display Value: 67W

The measured data and the load data are highly consistent, making this method suitable for various scenarios requiring power calculations, such as power supplies and motor drives.
