There’s a little story behind this photograph. This is Willie. Our daughter found him as a four-week-old on the side of the road about 10 years ago, and we brought him home to join our family. He has always been extremely shy— in fact the only person he would allow to stroke him is Michael. I’m a cat person and have had cats as a part of my family all my life! I try not to take it personally. This Christmas, Willy really came out of his shell and wanted to be in the middle of everything, as documented above. It was so fun to see. Granted, he did not sit on anyone’s lap (something he’s never done), but he certainly wanted— and was— a part of the holiday action. Perhpas he could not resist all the boxes, string and crinkly paper for another Chritsmas. Or maybe he was just done being shy. Willie still won’t let me pet him; but hope springs eternal. I hope your Friday is a good one. Thanks for being here, see you tomorrow! I’m taking it easy from pitics, but will resume soon.
