Ring in the New Year with U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service
As 2026 begins, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service is taking a moment to reflect on a year defined by progress, resilience, and purpose. This was a year of growth, not just for our programs, but for the active-duty military, Guard, and Reserve service members, veterans, and military spouses we proudly serve.
In 2025, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service continued strengthening pathways to meaningful careers and expanding opportunities nationwide:
-
More than 400,000 service members, veterans, and military spouses received career resources and opportunities, empowering them to confidently navigate their next career steps.
-
$61 million in grants funded programs working to prevent and end veteran homelessness, connecting at-risk and unhoused veterans with stable employment and long-term economic security.
- The Employment Navigator and Partnership Program served 6,383 new clients, bringing the program’s total reach to more than 25,000 service members and military spouses assisted to date.
-
Conducted 2,065 compliance assistance engagements, supporting more than 3,500 veterans, service members, and additional beneficiaries.
-
Processed 407,883 VETS-4212 reports, submitted by 15,852 federal contractors and subcontractors.
-
888 employers earned the HIRE Vets Medallion Award, recognizing their commitment to hiring, retaining, and empowering veteran and military-connected talent.
These accomplishments reflect the strength of our partnerships, the dedication of our staff, and the determination of the veteran community.
