When the cold weather began, three out of four of the city’s pothole-filling machines had been broken for months, and one has still not been repaired, says the city’s point person for roads.
Alan DeSousa suggested to The Gazette's Jason Magder the Plante administration managed its resources poorly because the machines were broken at the beginning of last year.
Amid crumbling roads and a record number of complaints about potholes, DeSousa also defended his administration’s reduction in the annual road-repair budget.
