Final Reminder: MIPS Value Pathways (MVP) Candidate Feedback Period Closes Today
The public has 30 days to provide feedback before the 2027 MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) are potentially proposed in rulemaking. This 30-day feedback period closes today.
Review Posted MVP Candidates
Visit the Quality Payment Program (QPP) Website to review the 3 MVP candidates available for public feedback through February 6, 2026. Please note that posting an MVP candidate doesn’t guarantee the candidate will move forward in rulemaking.
We’ll publish the feedback received related to each MVP candidate on the QPP website following the 30-day feedback period.
CMS won’t respond directly to any feedback received but will review and determine whether to incorporate any recommended changes to an MVP candidate and whether to propose an MVP candidate through rulemaking.
Submit Your Feedback
By providing feedback, you’re participating in the future of MIPS and development of MVPs. This is your opportunity to ensure MVPs align with your clinical practice needs, support your practice and patient goals, and improve the assessment of quality of care. MVP feedback should be submitted to MVPsupport@cms.hhs.gov for consideration by tonight, February 6, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Please include the following information in the email:
Subject Line: Draft 2027 MVP Candidate Feedback
Email Body: Feedback for consideration and public posting. Please indicate the MVP to which your comment relates.
Medicare Shared Savings Program - Important Reminders When Submitting Data on the APP Plus Quality Measure Set
For PY 2025, Shared Savings Program ACOs must report quality data on the APP Plus quality measure set. ACOs that do not submit any quality measures to the APP Plus quality measure set will be ineligible for shared savings or will owe maximum shared losses. The data submission guidance is outlined below.
For QPP JSON files, the “entityId” must be labeled with your ACO ID, the “entityType” must be labeled as “apm”, the “category” must be labeled as “quality” and “programName” must be labeled as “appPlus” at the measurement set level for 2025. Please note that these labels are case-sensitive. For more information, refer to Tutorial: APP Submissions in the QPP Developer Preview Environment Documentation.
