Online Product Calendar — The U.S. Census Bureau provides anticipated release dates for its regular and recurring statistical products through its online product calendar. This calendar is regularly updated to reflect the most current information.
Demographic
2024 Rental Housing Finance Survey — The U. S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will release the 2024 Rental Housing Finance Survey (RHFS) summary tables in the RHFS Table Creator, public use files and codebook on census.gov. The RHFS Table Creator is an interactive data tool that allows users to create custom tables of financial, mortgage, and property characteristics of single-family and multifamily residential properties for rent in the United States. Data available include property, residential structure(s), mortgage characteristics, ownership status, commercial use of space, benefits received and more. Economic
New Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes Data — The U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled to announce new education partners for its Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) experimental data product. The PSEO provides earnings and employment outcomes for college and university graduates by degree level, degree major, post-secondary institution, and state of institution, and is used by parents, students, institutions, and workforce agencies to learn about the labor force outcomes of graduates. (Scheduled for release Feb. 12.)
Call for Presentations for the 2026 Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership Virtual Workshop — The U.S. Census Bureau invites you to submit a proposal to present virtually at the 2026 LED Partnership Hybrid Workshop May 12-13, 2026. This year’s theme is “Numbers to Narratives: Data for Better Decisions.” The event will highlight the useful applications of data made possible through the LED State/Federal partnership including the Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI), the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) Origin-Destination Employee Statistics (LODES), OnTheMap or OnTheMap for Emergency Management, Job-to-Job Flows (J2J), Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) and Veteran Employment Outcomes (VEO). “Unlocking NAICS 5- and 6-Digit Details in the Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI) Data Set”— The U.S. Census Bureau and the Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership, in collaboration with the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) and the Labor Market Information (LMI) Institute, welcome Andrew Foote as he presents, “Unlocking NAICS 5- and 6- Digit Details in the Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI).” This presentation will introduce the newly released North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 5- and 6- digit QWI tabulations and the available demographic and firm level crossings, including sex, age, race and ethnicity, education, and firm age and size at the state level. (Feb. 18.)
Census Business Builder Version 5.11 — The U.S. Census Bureau will release version 5.11 of the Census Business Builder (CBB) tool. This release will include new data for the 2024 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates, metadata updates, the unemployment rate and bug fixes for previously known issues. More information on Census Business Builder is available online. (Scheduled for release Feb. 25.)
Business Trends and Outlook Survey — The Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS) measures business conditions on an ongoing basis. BTOS experimental data products are representative of all employer businesses other than farms in the U.S. economy. The data allow greater insight into the state of the economy by providing continuous, timely information for key economic measures. Data are released biweekly and are available by sector, state, employment size and the 25 most populous metropolitan statistical areas. New questions on artificial intelligence were added Nov. 17 and will be released in 2026.

2024 Community Resilience Estimates — Jan. 29 — The U.S. Census Bureau released new community resilience estimates by social vulnerability to natural disasters. This product helps local governments and community stakeholders plan mitigation and recovery strategies in the event of a disaster. Estimates were released for the nation, states, counties, core-based statistical areas and tracts.

2020-2024 American Community Survey 5-Year Citizen Voting Age by Race and Ethnicity Special Tabulation — Jan. 30 — The U.S. Census Bureau released the 2020-2024 American Community Survey 5-Year Citizen Voting Age by Race and Ethnicity (CVAP) special tabulation. This special tabulation is created for use in voting rights analysis and is published for a series of geographies, down to block-group level. Publication of this special tabulation is only available for download from the Census Bureau Citizen Voting Age by Race and Ethnicity webpage.
2020-2024 American Community Survey — Jan. 29 — The U.S. Census Bureau released the remaining 2024 American Community Survey (ACS) estimates. The data was released Jan. 29 and included the 2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates and 5-year Variance Replicate Estimates. The 5-year estimates were available to embargo subscribers on Jan. 27. The last release of 2020-2024 ACS 5-year PUMS (Public Use Microdata Sample) files is set for March 5. The updated release schedule is available online. Spanish

Social and Economic Characteristics of Currently Unmarried Women With a Recent Birth: 2023 — Jan. 28 — The U.S. Census Bureau released a new report that explores social and economic characteristics of unmarried women who gave birth in 2023. The report uses American Community Survey (ACS) data and makes comparisons, when possible, to an earlier report that used 2011 ACS 1-year estimates.
Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates for States, Counties and School Districts — Jan. 27 — The U.S. Census Bureau released new data on small area income and poverty estimates for states, counties and school districts. The new data come from the 2024 Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE), which provides the only up-to-date, single-year income and poverty statistics for the nation’s 3,143 counties and 13,126 school districts.
Vintage 2025 Population Estimates, Components of Change and Voting-Age Population for the Nation, States and Puerto Rico — Jan. 27 — The U.S. Census Bureau released July 1, 2025, estimates of total population and voting-age population for the nation, states and Puerto Rico, as well as corresponding annual estimates and components of change since the 2020 Census. New Data Tables on Characteristics of Same-Sex Couple Households — Jan. 26 — The U.S. Census Bureau released new data tables from the 2024 American Community Survey 1-year estimates on Characteristics of Same-Sex Couple Households: 2005 to Present. The annual release explores demographic and economic characteristics of same-sex couple households by age, race, ethnicity, educational attainment, employment status, income and home tenure.
Energy and Rental Assistance Fact Sheet — Jan. 26 — The U.S. Census Bureau released a new fact sheet on energy and rental assistance based on data from the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP). SIPP is a nationally representative longitudinal survey that provides comprehensive information on the dynamics of income, employment, household composition and government program participation. The fact sheet provides a quick and easy way to get statistics on recipients of energy and rental assistance for calendar year 2023.
Child Support Received Fact Sheet — Jan. 26 — The U.S. Census Bureau released a new fact sheet on child support received based on data from the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP). SIPP is a nationally representative longitudinal survey that provides comprehensive information on the dynamics of income, employment, household composition and government program participation. The fact sheet provides a quick and easy way to get statistics on parents who received child support in calendar year 2023.
Demographic Analysis and Population Projection System (DAPPS) — Dec. 3 — The U.S. Census Bureau released Demographic Analysis and Population Projection System (DAPPS 4.1). DAPPS is a comprehensive freely available software that offers advanced methods to analyze and project populations. It contains access to over 25 different techniques for analyzing population dynamics, such as age and sex distributions, fertility, mortality and migration.

Stats for Stories provides links to timely story ideas highlighting the U.S. Census Bureau’s newsworthy statistics that relate to current events, observances, holidays and anniversaries. The story ideas are intended to assist the media in story mining and producing content for their respective audiences.

U.S. Census Bureau Training Opportunities — Webinars are available on a regular basis to help the public access and use Census Bureau statistics. These free sessions, which are 60 to 90 minutes each, show users how to navigate Census Bureau databases and mapping tools and find demographic and economic statistics at the local or national level.
