Canada’s Laurent Dubreuil has won a bronze medal in the men’s 500-metre speed-skating sprint on Saturday. It completes Dubreuil’s comeback from Beijing 2022, when he missed a podium finish in the same event by 2/100ths of a second.

For about ten minutes in Milan, Dubreuil held an Olympic record. He was overtaken by Saturday’s eventual winner, American Jordan Stolz.

Canada now has eight medals in the Milan Games. Half of them have come in the two speed skating disciplines.
