  • “Joy Takes Root” author Gwendolyn Wallace stops by the Museum of African American History for a book reading.

Friday

  • World Tango champ German Cornejo brings “Tango After Dark” to Global Arts Live at the Berklee Performance Center.

  • “Severance” actor Adam Scott lends his voice to the new animated comedy “Strip Law,” premiering on Netflix.

  • Nora Paanahi hosts Friday’s Roslindale Queer Comedy Night at the Rozzie Square Theater before headlining the Wicked Queer Stand-up Comedy event at Somerville’s Portico Brewing on Saturday.

Saturday

  • “30 Rock” star and “SNL” alum Tracy Morgan takes the stage at the Wilbur.

  • Keep the Mardi Gras party going this weekend as Boston’s Revolutionary Snake Ensemble brings its NOLA-style tunes to Scullers.

  • Country crooner Margo Price stops by Royale in support of her 2025 album, “Hard Headed Woman.”

  • If you’re missing “Heated Rivalry,” showrunner Jacob Tierney’s other hockey-themed show, “Shoresy,” returns for season 5 on Hulu.




Sunday

  • Boston alt-rock artist Tracy Bonham kicks off her monthly residency at the Burren in Somerville, which runs through May.

  • Award season continues across the pond as the BAFTA Film Awards return, hosted by Alan Cumming.

Ongoing

  • Directed by Courtney O’Connor, “Penelope” continues at Lyric Stage Boston through March 1.

  • Actors’ Shakespeare Project’s take on “Little Women” runs at the Dorothy and Charles Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown through March 1.

Last chance

  • See all your favorite characters from “Frozen,” “Moana,” and more as “Disney on Ice” takes over TD Garden through Sunday.
