Welcome to INSIGHT
The 2030 In Sight strategy challenges us to
recognise that eye health is not an optional extra — it is fundamental
to health, opportunity, and sustainable development.
In our second INSIGHT of 2026 we are
spotlighting how IAPB is strengthening
its campaigning efforts to accelerate progress towards
the 2030 In Sight strategy. From updates
on our flagship campaigns and 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE
Kenya, to preparations for the
first-ever Global Summit for Eye
Health in Antigua & Barbuda this November, this issue
highlights how we are turning strategy into action.
In 2026, our campaigning is increasingly focused on the people and
stories behind the statistics, demonstrating that investing in eye
health is not only transformative for individuals and communities, but
also sound economics. It drives productivity, supports job creation,
and improves education outcomes, making it a powerful lever for
sustainable development.
