Yard Waste Collection Announcement

Yard Waste Collection Begins March 2

Here are a few reminders:

• Yard waste includes leaves, grass trimmings, and shrub and tree trimmings. 
• Yard waste does not include soil, mulch, sod, stumps, whole trees, large branches or limbs or clean-up from storm damage.
• Use compostable paper bags or rigid containers or tie yard waste into bundles.
• Limit yard waste to 10 compostable bags or containers per week.
• If you have more than 4 bundles, please schedule a brush special pickup.

We take yard waste to our county solid waste facilities. There, it is transported to regional commercial composting facilities where it is processed into compost, mulch, and soil amendments.
