Raptor App

We’re excited to be using our new Raptor Visitor system! To help make check-in quick and easy, please download the Raptor App before coming to the school.

Once your information is saved in the app, you won’t have to enter it each time you visit. This helps the line move much faster — especially on busy days like field trips when lots of parents are signing in at once.

Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

book fair

KMES Fall Book Fair is Coming March 9th-13th

The annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held March 9–13 in the library. Students will preview the fair on Friday, March 6. Students will visit the fair throughout the week.

On Wednesday, March 11th, families are invited to come for FAMILY NIGHT from 5:00PM-8:00pm to browse and purchase books.

Additional information will be coming home in the coming weeks. You can also preview the fair at Keene Mill Book Fair 2026

The Book Fair accepts all major forms of payments, and we even offer the option for families to create a Book Fair eWALLET for their student to shop the fair.  No need to worry about cash being lost or misplaced.  The money is secure and rolls over year to year. Plus, you can share your eWallet link so friends and family can help your child find even more to read. Unspent funds from a past Fair? To transfer them to this Fair, log in to your Scholastic account and create a new eWallet—then your previous balance will be available to transfer as an eGift Card. Visit the Book Fair Link.

We can’t wait to see you at the Fair!

Pre-K and Early Head Start Programs

FCPS Pre-K and Early Head Start programs provide a high-quality early learning experience for qualifying children with economic and educational risk factors, ages 6 weeks to 4 years, living in Fairfax County.

  • Pre-K prioritizes 4-year-old applicants but also accepts applications for children who will be 3 years old by September 30 of the same year.
  • Early Head Start is located at three elementary schools — Clearview, Crestwood, and Dogwood — and accepts applications from pregnancy to 2 years old.

Families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible; space is limited and provided based on need, not on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applications are accepted online, by email, by mail, or in person at the program office at 7423 Camp Alger Avenue, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.

If you have a question about the application process or status, please call 703-208-7900 (English) or 703-208-7901 (Spanish).
