National School Social Work Week
March 2-8 is National School Social Work Week. Social workers in FCPS help to prevent social, emotional, and behavioral factors from affecting a student's ability to perform at their best. Their primary goal is to remove barriers that prevent a student from fulfilling their academic potential. Social workers are assigned to every school and center in the school system. Most social workers serve one to two sites. Learn more about the role of social workers in FCPS.
Our social worker Ms. Traci Jamison is outstanding, send her a note or encouraging word of thanks to her using this email tdjamison@fcps.edu

Hello Seahawk Families! Guess what?! It's time for Square 1 Art!
Do you have a student in Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, or 6th grade? If so, they have been working hard with our amazing art teachers to create something awesome for our Square 1 Art Fundraiser! Square 1 Art takes your child's artwork, and turns it into really cool keepsakes, like tote bags, magnets, luggage tags and coffee mugs. Catalogs will be coming home with your child soon! All orders must be placed online at square1art.com. The deadline to order is March 25th, 2026.
If you have a 1st, 3rd, or 5th grader, your child can create something awesome (or use something already created) to submit online, and you can still order fun keepsakes! Please visit square1art.com for tips and suggestions. Upload artwork and order by March 25th, 2026.
Silverbrook benefits from every order placed. These items make great gifts for parents, grandparents, and relatives. Get a head start on Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts!
*Please note, all orders must be placed online, and Square 1 Art will only be using direct ship to your home address... items purchased will not be mailed to the school.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Renee Williams at square1art@silverbrookpto.org.
