Bucknell’s Career Day was a tremendous success! Students had the opportunity to learn from a wide range of professionals, gaining insight into different career paths and the skills needed for success. It was a day filled with meaningful conversations, curiosity, and real-world connections that inspired our learners to think about their own futures.
¡El Día de las Profesiones en Bucknell fue un gran éxito! Los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender de una amplia variedad de profesionales, obteniendo una visión de diferentes trayectorias profesionales y las habilidades necesarias para tener éxito. Fue un día lleno de conversaciones significativas, curiosidad y conexiones con el mundo real que inspiraron a nuestros estudiantes a pensar en su propio futuro.
Dear Bucknell Families,
I truly cannot believe that next week is already March! As we look toward the new month, we are all crossing our fingers for some consistent spring weather and sunnier days ahead.
This past week was nothing short of amazing. Our hallways had so much energy, and the building was packed with a perfect blend of rigorous learning and high-interest activities.
Career Day: Real-World Inspiration
Thank you so much to the families and community members who joined us for Career Day! Providing our students with real-life experiences and connections to the world beyond the classroom is invaluable. Our students were captivated by a wide variety of guests, including:

Public Safety & Service: Local firefighters (and their trucks!) and representatives from various branches of the Military.

Professional Services: An OBGYN, a lawyer, and a realtor.

STEM & Tech: Cybersecurity experts and digital content creators.

Creative Arts: Cosmetologists and more!
We had many more careers represented as well! It was a true showcase of the talent and hard work within our community. Seeing our students engage with these guests was a highlight of the year. You have sparked some big dreams in our little Bulldogs!
A Night at the Movies
Thank you to our incredible PTA for organizing such a wonderful Movie Night. It was heartwarming to see so many families joined together in our space, relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Our community is stronger because of your involvement and we’re forever grateful.
Club Forms & Academic Opportunities
Club forms were sent home this past Thursday. Please review these with your child and return them as soon as possible.
Note for Grades 3–6: We are offering specific Academic Clubs designed to help students prepare for upcoming SOL testing. This is a fantastic opportunity for extra support and confidence-building. We hope families take full advantage of this!
Looking Ahead: Attendance Matters
Next week marks our first full week in a long time! We are looking forward to having every single student in the building so that we can fully engage in learning. When students are present, they benefit from the shared energy of the classroom and the direct support of their teachers. Missing even one day can make it harder to keep up with new concepts. Every day counts!
We can’t wait to see everyone on Monday morning, ready to learn!

¡De verdad no puedo creer que la próxima semana ya sea marzo! De cara al nuevo mes, todos cruzamos los dedos para que un clima primaveral constante y días más soleados se acerquen.
La semana pasada fue simplemente increíble. Nuestros pasillos tenían muchísima energía, y el edificio estaba lleno de una mezcla perfecta de aprendizaje riguroso y actividades de gran interés.
Día de la Carrera: Inspiración en el mundo real
¡Muchísimas gracias a las familias y miembros de la comunidad que nos acompañaron en el Día de las Carreras! Proporcionar a nuestros estudiantes experiencias reales y conexiones con el mundo más allá del aula es invaluable. Nuestros estudiantes quedaron cautivados por una gran variedad de invitados, entre ellos:

Seguridad Pública y Servicio: Bomberos locales (¡y sus camiones!) y representantes de diversas ramas de las Fuerzas Armadas.

Servicios profesionales: Un ginecólogo, un abogado y un agente inmobiliario.

STEM y Tecnología: Expertos en ciberseguridad y creadores de contenido digital.

Artes creativas: ¡Cosmetólogos y más!
¡También tuvimos muchas más carreras representadas! Fue una verdadera muestra del talento y el trabajo duro dentro de nuestra comunidad. Ver a nuestros estudiantes interactuar con estos invitados fue uno de los momentos destacados del año. ¡Has despertado grandes sueños en nuestros pequeños Bulldogs!
Una noche en el cine
Gracias a nuestra increíble asociación de padres y amigas por organizar una noche de cine tan maravillosa. Fue conmovedor ver a tantas familias unidas en nuestro espacio, relajándose y disfrutando de la compañía mutua. Nuestra comunidad es más fuerte gracias a tu implicación y te estaremos eternamente agradecidos.
Formas de Club y Oportunidades Académicas
Los formularios del club fueron enviados a casa el pasado jueves. Por favor, revisa estos documentos con tu hijo y devuélvelos lo antes posible.
Nota para los cursos 3–6: Ofrecemos Clubes Académicos específicos diseñados para ayudar a los estudiantes a prepararse para los próximos exámenes SOL. Es una oportunidad fantástica para recibir apoyo extra y ganar confianza. ¡Esperamos que las familias aprovechen esto al máximo!
De cara al futuro: la asistencia importa
¡La próxima semana será nuestra primera semana completa en mucho tiempo! Esperamos tener a todos y cada uno de los estudiantes en el edificio para poder participar plenamente en el aprendizaje. Cuando los estudiantes están presentes, se benefician de la energía compartida del aula y del apoyo directo de sus profesores. Perderse aunque sea un día puede dificultar seguir el ritmo de nuevos conceptos. ¡Cada día cuenta!

Bucknell is excited to celebrate A Mindful Week, our SEL Spirit Week! SEL stands for Social and Emotional Learning — the process through which students develop skills like self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These skills help students build positive relationships, manage emotions, make thoughtful choices, and succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Throughout the week, students will participate in fun, themed spirit days that highlight each SEL competency. We encourage everyone to join in the fun while continuing to grow these important life skills together!

¡Bucknell está emocionada de celebrar A Mindful Week, nuestra Semana de Espíritu SEL! We’re excited to kick off another round of Bucknell Spring Clubs! Registration forms were sent home in Thursday folders. Please return completed forms by Friday, March 15th.
Clubs will begin the week of March 23rd and run through the week of May 4th. We can’t wait for students to explore new interests, build skills, and have fun learning beyond the school day!
