Padilla leads the entire cast this season in number of sketch appearances and total screen time, which is rare for a player in her second year. Redditors track the records she’s supposedly matching and smashing: They say she’s tied for the most sketch appearances by a featured player in a single episode (eight), and that she crossed the 100-sketch-appearances mark in just 28 episodes (fewer than established co-stars Kenan Thompson and Sarah Sherman). There are highlight reels (okay, fan cams) and debates about whether she’ll get a midseason promotion to the main cast. The trades are already deeming her SNL’s top Emmys contender.
