Good evening. Tonight, your newsletters editors share the best things they got last month. Plus:

Our experts spent February squeezing out every last bit of brightness from these final long weeks of winter by peeking inside the 11 suitcases Tara Lipinski bought to the Olympics and asking ski patrollers how they stay warm. We puckered up (a lot) to crown the best lipsticks and lip glosses. And we reported on how best to age in place, including a deep dive into everything you need to adapt a home for aging.
And as your newsletters editors happily waded through all of that coverage, a few things landed in our own carts. Below, the picks that made the biggest difference in our own lives last month. Happy March!
As soon as I read kitchen expert Maki Yazawa’s recommendation for this medieval-looking cheese cutter, I knew it was the perfect gift for my cheese-obsessed husband. With just a few rotations of the stainless steel cutter around a wheel of Manchego or Tête de Moine, this endlessly entertaining gadget creates perfect little rosettes that melt in your mouth. It’s transformed our post-dinner snack into an edible art project.
I’ve already gone on record about February feeling about 45 days too long (and the best gifts for overcoming the dregs of winter). So I’ll spare you more kvetching and just say that finally upgrading my decade-old cheap coat to one of our style expert’s favorites — this slouchy, wool-and-cashmere Aritzia number — has been a real bright spot. It’s the warmest of all the wool coats we tested and the herringbone I opted for is such a classic, versatile neutral. I scored mine secondhand — maybe you can, too?
I recently restocked my second jar of this luscious cleansing balm for double-cleansing. (No, you don’t need to double-cleanse. But I swear by it.) Every night, I massage a little scoop’s worth onto dry skin, and not only does it melt off all of my waterproof mascara in seconds, I swear I can feel it pulling gunk out of my pores.
Like Isoke, I found Valentine’s Day success with a small but unique gizmo for my boyfriend. This handsome, rechargeable lighter was a welcome upgrade from the disposable ones, which are, quite frankly, not as fun to use when you want to light a candle for a cozy evening or a romantic dinner at home.
