Youth Mental Health First Aid: Free Sessions
Build skills to support teens in crisis. Complete a two-hour, self-paced online course, followed by a six-hour, in-person training with an instructor. You’ll learn how to assist adolescents ages 12–18 experiencing a mental health crisis or substance use challenge. Arlington Public Schools is hosting these free training sessions.

Regional Transportation Feedback Due April 3
Comment on 14 projects under funding consideration. The projects include bus route and rail station improvements proposed by Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun Counties, OmniRide, and WMATA. Learn more on the Commuter Choice page (available in Spanish). Comments will be shared with the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission before approval of the I-66 FY 2027–2028 Program of Projects. The public comment period closes Fri., April 3. Learning How to Age with Ease

Spring 2026 E-CARE Event
Safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronics at E-CARE. Check the list of accepted materials. This event is for Arlington residents only, so bring an ID; business and commercial waste is not accepted. There is a fee for cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions ($20) and CRT computer monitors ($15). All other screens and monitors are free. Learn more.

Moving Toward Acceptance after a Dementia Diagnosis
If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with dementia, join a virtual panel presented by the Arlington Adult Day Program (AADP) to teach strategies for understanding and acceptance. Representatives from RAFT Dementia Program, an AADP social worker, and AADP recreation specialists, will provide useful guidance.
