A Message from the PTA President
Dear Hunt Valley Families,
With the end of the third quarter drawing near, it’s time for PTA to begin looking toward the 2026-2027 school year! The Nominations Committee is actively seeking candidates for the elected positions of Secretary and VP. Our PTA structure allows for multiple VP’s, each having oversight in different areas. The current board members are looking for several interested parents to take on and learn these VP roles for next school year. Contact information for the Nominations Committee can be found in the last meeting’s slides which are saved in the “Docs and Photos” section of the PTA’s website. The deadline to get your name on the ballot is April 10th. https://hvpta.ptboard.com/home
We are also seeking new committee chairs to replace a few out-bound parents, specifically the Wellness Committee and Spelling Bee. No prior knowledge of running these types of events is necessary and groups of volunteers are always welcome, if you’re not comfortable leading by yourself. No Committee head will ever be “alone,” as you’ll have turnover and the support of next year’s Board behind you. Please email if you’ve got interest or know of someone who would be a great fit!
One friendly reminder, we are approaching the last week of donations for our FUNDrive partnership with the Green Guardians. See the flyer below for details.

Time for some Spring cleaning! The PTA is partnering with the school club, Green Guardians, on a clothing and household textiles donation drive. See flyer below for details!
6th Grade Parents
Nominations for the 2026-2027 Irving Middle School PTA Executive Board are now open!
We are looking for families of rising 7th and 8th graders who are interested in helping to continue to build on the incredible community we have at Irving.
As a PTA we:
- Host a fall family fun night and spring Bingo!
- Support our staff members through our Teacher Grant program and monthly appreciation opportunities.
- Provide advocacy focused on the middle school experience.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure our families are supported and informed!
