Marketing Fashion Show
Congrats to Kay Walters and her Marketing students for another phenomenal Fashion Show! Thank you to the FX Players and LUSA performers for participating!
March 19, 2026
Good Afternoon, Fairfax Families,
This week began with a heavy heart as our school community gathered to honor the memories of the current and former students we have lost. These moments of silence are vital; they allow us to pause, reflect, and support one another in our shared grief.
We have spoken candidly with our students about the power of their voices. The "See Something, Say Something" initiative is more than just a slogan—it is a cornerstone of our security. I want to thank every student who has had the courage to come forward and report incidents of intolerable behavior. Your action is exactly what keeps our halls and classes safe and our community strong.
Celebrating Our Students
Despite the weight of the week, it was also a time to celebrate the vibrant energy and talent that define our school during Student Appreciation Week. From high-energy "Minute to Win It" games to quiet moments of choosing words of affirmation, it was a joy to see our students recognized for the unique individuals they are.
Fashion Around the World
We capped off the week with an absolute masterclass in professionalism and creativity: the Fashion Around the World Show. Our Marketing students didn't just put on a show; they ran a business.
They:
- Secured clothing donations from local businesses.
- Designed and built custom modeling sets for each featured country.
- Choreographed the entire run of show.
- Executed a high-quality, flawless production.
Seeing the intersection of global culture and student leadership was the perfect way to head into the weekend. To our Marketing team and our models: your hard work did not go unnoticed. We also enjoyed seeing LUSA dance and The FX Players perform.
Warmly,
National History Bowl Success!

The 2026 Washington DC Metro History Bowl Championships, better known as the National History Bowl, was held recently at Georgetown Day School. Our FHS Quizbowl team came in first place for the JV Division (9th and 10th graders). Private and public schools from all over VA, DC and MD competed.
The players that competed on the team were.
Sauren Kwatra, 9th grade
Bishesh Pokhrel, 10th grade
Both students also made the final table for the History Bee as well and Sauren got 3rd place overall for the History Bee.
They both qualified for Nationals for the both the History Bowl and Bees that will be held at the end of April in Washington DC.
Any students interested in joining the Scholastic Bowl Trivia Club, please reach out to Mr. Agrawal, ragrawal@fcps.edu or Ms. Loomis, cmloomis@fcps.edu.
