A Message from Principal Peterson

As we continue our celebration of Music in Our Schools Month, I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding work of our music educators who bring energy, creativity, and passion to our school each day.

This week, we are proud to highlight Ms. Jessi Sfarnas, our Strings teacher. Ms. Sfarnas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from James Madison University and is currently in her second year teaching strings to our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. Her love of music began when she started learning the cello in 6th grade, and she now shares that passion by creating engaging and accessible musical experiences for all students.

We would also like to recognize Ms. Gifford, whose leadership of our band program continues to provide students with meaningful opportunities to grow as musicians. Through her dedication and guidance, students build confidence, collaboration skills, and a strong sense of pride in their performances.

Thank you to both of our music teachers for the lasting impact they make in the lives of our students. Our celebration of music continues to resonate throughout our school community because of their commitment and talent.
