Please join us in congratulating Clermont’s librarian, Mrs. Kannan Cangro, for being named 2026 Potomac Region Librarian of the Year! Mrs. Cangro was surprised by this honor on Saturday, March 14, at the Potomac Spring Regional Conference in Gainesville, Virginia. Congrats, Mrs. Cangro! |
This winter, Clermont had 5 teams participate in Odyssey of the Mind Tournament at the Regional Level. Of the 5 teams, one team placed 6th, two teams placed 4th, and one team received first place! The first place team is a group of 3rd and 4th grade students, and they competed in the Virginia State tournament last weekend... and earned 2nd place! This grants them a seat in the OOTM World Finals in Iowa in May. Congrats to all of our students who participated, and thanks to Coach Jen, Coach Rosario, and all of the parent coaches for supporting our students.

As a reminder, all FCPS schools are now using the new Raptor Visitor Management System (VMS). This new system is part of FCPS’ ongoing commitment to layered school safety and streamlining the process for visitors at our schools. The VMS ensures that no school visitor is on the sex offender registry. Visitors and volunteers will check in at the front office at a new kiosk and scan their ID. Visitors who choose to download the RaptorSafe App and create a Raptor Passport can pre-verify their information before they get to school. The app will give you a QR code you can use to check in. |
There will be no school for students on Tuesday, April 21, for the Virginia statewide election. Student activities, athletic practices, and events may proceed as scheduled.
Fairfax County Public Schools will still exceed the required number of instructional hours for students, as set by the Virginia Department of Education.
