House budgeters advance statutory Permanent Fund dividend contingent on savings draw →

The House Finance Committee voted 6-5 to approve a spending plan that would — if fully approved by the House and Senate — drain roughly half of the state's rainy-day fund to send every eligible Alaskan a statutory Permanent Fund dividend payment of around $3,800.
