Welcome back to The Weekender, where you’ll find a batch of the week’s top stories about culture and the way we live today.

A few years back, my colleague Jancee Dunn wrote about the “middle-aged groan,” and I think about it every time I bend down or try to stand up from a seated position on the floor. What I didn’t expect to come next was the morning “ugh.” I had no idea how much could end up hurting when all I had done was wake up. This week I learned that my “sleep posture” might be the problem. The good news is that it’s fixable. Below, you’ll find a new article with the pros and cons of different sleep positions and ways to alleviate pain by adjusting your own.

Also in this edition, meet Baggs, the life-saving puppy; a teen finding treasures in New Jersey; and the group of plus-size women getting famous at Disney World. Hope one of those makes you smile. I’ll see you next weekend(er).
