Milan design week kicks off next week, and Dezeen is hosting a series of talks with Moooi, Samsung, Creative Hungary and Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, with speakers including Bethan Laura Wood, Mauro Porcini, Yves Béhar and Li Edelkoort.
Plus we have teamed up with Moooi and Superstudio Design to host an opening party.

Dezeen has teamed up with Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation (ACDF) to host a talk titled Uzbekistan Now: Culture and Design, coinciding with the preview of their exhibition When Apricots Blossom.
Moderated by Dezeen's editorial director Max Fraser, panellists will include designer Bethan Laura Wood, WHY Architecture principal Kulapat Yantrasast and ACDF chairperson Gayane Umerova.
Taking over the prestigious Palazzo Citterio in Milan's Brera district, the exhibition explores the crafts, culture and ecology of Karakalpakstan and the Aral Sea region, featuring works by 12 designers, including Bethan Laura Wood, Marcin Rusak and Fernando Laposse.

Dezeen has teamed up with Creative Hungary to co-host a talk titled Material Futures: The Evolution of Hungarian Design, taking place as part of Budapest Select – Patterns of Being.
Moderated by Dezeen's design and environment editor Jennifer Hahn, speakers will include Creative Hungary CEO Zsófia Bata-Jakab, Sarakele Studio founder Sàra Kele and Kolassa Studio founder Jószef Kolassa.
The discussion will explore the evolution of Hungarian design, from its heritage of craftsmanship and technical precision to its growing presence on the international stage. Speakers will consider how contemporary Hungarian designers navigate identity, responsibility and material innovation within a rapidly shifting global context.
The talk will be followed by an aperitivo with a contemporary dance performance by Győri Balett.

Dezeen has teamed up with Samsung to host a talk coinciding with the brand's Design is an Act of Love exhibition, which focuses on how human-centred, expressive design can transform technology into a more meaningful presence in everyday life.
Dezeen's co-CEO Benedict Hobson will be in conversation with Samsung's chief design officer Mauro Porcini, exploring a vision for the future based on the idea that technology should serve humanity.

Moderated by Dezeen's editorial director Max Fraser, a panel of speakers including Moooi co-founder Marcel Wanders, Fuseproject founder Yves Béhar, trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort and Studio Job founder Job Smeets will reflect on Moooi's spirit at age 25 and examine their way of viewing the world to imagine what's next.
