EEOICPA Program Overview and Updates

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP), Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC), invites you to join an informative webinar covering program fundamentals and recent updates.

This session provides a valuable opportunity to hear directly from OWCP leadership, including:

  • Jim Macey, Director, OWCP
  • Rachel Pond, Director, DEEOIC

Director Pond will present an overview of the program along with key updates and developments. The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, allowing participants to engage directly with program leadership.

Program eligibility, available benefits, covered employment categories and medical conditions, the claims process, program resources, upcoming outreach events, and recent updates including expanded eligibility for uranium miners.

About EEOICPA:
The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act provides lump‐sum compensation and medical benefits to current and former nuclear weapons workers whose illness is a result of working in the nuclear weapons industry. Survivors of qualified workers may also be entitled to benefits. Covered illnesses include radiation‐induced cancer, chronic beryllium disease, beryllium sensitivity, chronic silicosis, or any illness due to exposure to toxic substances.
