But first: an exhaustive list of our favorite shoes

here's the plan

You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…

  1. 1.

Thought your freshman roommate was a special kind of nightmare? Wait until you meet the duo in Netflix’s Roommates. The new movie stars Sadie Sandler (yes, that Sandler) as Devon, a shy college student who asks cool girl Celeste (Chloe East) to live together. But what starts as a budding friendship quickly descends into utter chaos, thanks to zero boundaries, peak passive aggressiveness, dorm-room warfare, and a particularly disastrous spring break in Panama City. Add a star-studded cast (Natasha Lyonne, Nick Kroll, Storm Reid) and the same writers who blessed us with SNL’s Domingo — and you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll probably Google your college roommate.

  2. 2.

We’ll go out on a limb here and say there is a roughly 3% chance you already own spring’s standout denim color, which happens to be Carolyn Bessette Kennedy-approved. If not? Time for a shopping trip.

  3. 3.

Turns out, the best thing you could find in your Little Mermaid lunchbox is ridiculously easy to make at home. Yes, we’re talking about Nutter Butters, which require three ingredients and zero special equipment. Our elementary-school selves would be so jealous.

  4. 4.

Beef is back — with a new cast and a new, well, beef. In season 2 of Lee Sung Jin’s hit anthology series, recently engaged couple Austin (Charles Melton) and Ashley (Cailee Spaeny) are both working dead-end jobs at an exclusive California country club. When they witness a vicious argument between their overburdened boss (Oscar Isaac) and his emotionally unfulfilled wife (Carey Mulligan), a tangled web of lies, blackmail, and coercion ensues as both couples fight for the approval of the club’s billionaire owner (Youn Yuh-jung). Meaning, it’s basically a cross between The White Lotus and The Perfect Couple.

    Beef
  5. 5.

Sure, a hack for chicer-looking kitchen cabinets that takes minutes and costs $5 sounds too good to be true. But watch this video and tell us you’re not dropping everything to try it this weekend.

My Non-Negotiables
Kat Klein and Dieux moisturizer

Happy (almost) weekend. Blame it on getting older, but lately, I’ve been taking advantage of any opportunity that comes my way. So when Red Bull offered two GA passes for Coachella this weekend, it was an immediate yes. Of course, doing the festival as a full-grown adult looks a little different, and I have the prep and planning to prove it. Here’s everything that’ll help get me through:

  • To balance what’ll inevitably be a lot of festival food and energy drinks (especially my new favorite flavor, which tastes just like Haribo Peaches), I’ve been eating all the greens. I meal-prepped this Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad at the start of the week, and it’s so light and fresh, I’m already planning round two for when I’m back.

  • I’ll break in the latest addition to my luggage collection: This Dagne Dover duffle bag. The embroidered paisley print feels both trendy and timeless, and it fits exactly what I need for a weekend in the desert. That includes a very good moisturizer to combat the dry heat (I firmly believe there’s nothing better than this Dieux one) and my go-to fragrance from Serviette. If you haven’t heard of the NYC-based brand, you’re welcome.

  • After dancing the day (and night) away, I’ll need to decompress. Thankfully, I still have the season finale of DTF St. Louis to watch. Don’t let the name fool you — the HBO dark comedy series isn’t what you think, and it might be Linda Cardellini’s best work yet, which after Dead to Me, is saying something.

  • I’ll finish reading Coco Mellors’s Blue Sisters. It’s a sharp look at sisterhood, addiction, and how women carry grief — and it’s set in NYC, so I’ve already spent half the book imagining the characters wandering around my favorite spots.
