Hi folks,
We are currently a few weeks into our April online InfoQ Certified Architect Program cohort. Watching these senior practitioners work together reinforces the biggest gap in our industry: when you are responsible for the architecture, finding internal peers to validate your approach is incredibly hard.
If you spend twelve months solving problems inside one company, you naturally get locked into that specific mindset. Imagine when you spend many years on the same project.
You need to get outside your bubble. Talking to people in other industries who have actually built different systems is how you avoid mistakes before you make them.
That is exactly what we do in the online cohort. It is a five-week working group to help you find an external sounding board.
You bring the actual decisions on your desk into a confidential environment and get the honest version of what works in production.
One participant from the last cohort put it this way: "It was a game changer in the way we think, we now apply the architecture canvas in every new feature, we rationalized the usage of ADRs, but also we communicate better between product, business and tech people."
Registration for our May group closes on May 6.
If you want an external group to pressure-test your thinking, we would love to welcome you.
Review the syllabus and secure your place.
