PTSA volunteers needed
for 2026-2027 school year

The Mclean HS PTSA is looking for volunteers to serve on the McLean HS PTSA Nominations Committee and the  Executive Committee. If you are interested in participating in the nomination of the new slate of officers for 2026-2027, please email President@mcleanptsa.org 

Below is the full slate of officer roles to be filled for the 2025-26 school year:

President - Provides oversight to the PTSA organization and collaborates with the school and parent community; ex-officio member of all committees.

VP of Programs – Provides oversight and guidance for all programs; collaborates with committees and school administration & staff to execute their goals.

VP of Fundraising  - Responsible for annual fundraising strategy and membership for the PTSA.

VP of Communications & Outreach - Provides a unified communications strategy across various channels of e-News, Givebacks, website, and social media.

Secretary - Responsible for maintaining records for the Executive Committee, Executive Board and General Membership Meetings. Assists with parliamentary procedures.

Treasurer - Responsible for preparing budget, monthly and annual financial reports, filing taxes, and collaborating with committees on disbursements. The ideal candidate should have nonprofit financial management experience

PTSA appreciates McLean High School’s Administrative Professionals!

Last week, the PTSA celebrated its Administrative Professionals. The PTSA hosted a lunch by Listrani’s in appreciation for all administrative professionals do for the school community. The PTSA, through the Hospitality Committee, supports staff throughout the year by planning appreciation events such as this lunch. Our school’s administrative professionals wear many hats and we are so thankful for all they do for our community!

Sweet Treat Friday on Friday, May 1

This week's school theme is "Stress Less, Laugh More" and Friday is designated as "Sweet Treat Friday." The PTSA would like your help in extending that theme to the teacher/staff Friday Breakfast Station. If you would like to bring a sweet treat this Friday, May 1, please feel free to sign up using the Breakfast Station Sign Up Genius Link below.  

The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. The Friday Breakfast Station is set up in the front office and teachers & staff are grateful each week for your donations.  Please click on the link to donate a breakfast item from the sign up list this month. Request for Drink Donations

The PTSA is hosting a lunch for teachers/staff on Friday, May 8 and is in need of drink donations. Please see Sign Up Genius link below to sign up. Donations can be dropped off at the front office anytime Monday, May 4 through Thursday, May 7.

Parent volunteers needed
during AP Exam season

Parents/Guardians! We are looking for your assistance to support morning duties during our AP exam season (May 4-May 22). To ensure all necessary school staff are available to support the implementation of morning AP exams, we are requesting assistance from parents/guardians to support our morning school routines from 7:30-8:10. More information and the survey to respond can be found HERE.

Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party

Ways to Support

Greetings families!! We are actively preparing for the Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party (ANGP) which will be held on June 9, 2026. The ANGP provides a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free evening for our Seniors to celebrate after their high school graduation. Every year our students look forward to the ANGP, which is an amazing, fun-filled event where they can spend one last time making memories with their classmates and enjoy a variety of entertainment, games, great food, prizes, and much more. Final Days to Purchase Tickets

Final Days to Purchase Yard Signs

Class of 2026 yard signs are now available. This year we are offering two types of signs: 

1. Decision signs that will allow you to celebrate your Senior's college/university/military decision and 

2. Graduation signs to celebrate your Senior upon graduation in June. 

The signs range in price from $30 to $40 based on the type of sign. See the link below to purchase and for additional details.

Volunteer Opportunites

Mock Testing - SAT and ACT

Looking for an opportunity to practice for the SAT and ACT? The McLean PTSA is partnering with The Princeton Review and Marigold Prep to offer practice tests. Each testing session starts at 9am. The test dates are as follows: 

SAT: July 18, 2026

ACT: no additional dates for the 2025-2026 school year

Join us virtually to take the full-length practice tests. The registration fee is $20 per exam.

Registration closes 3 days prior to each exam, and you will receive an email with further instructions regarding the testing session. After each test, you will receive a comprehensive score report detailing your strengths and weaknesses.
