I just got back from the trail, and honestly it was the best decision I've made all month. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. We started early in the morning, around 6 AM, and had the path mostly to ourselves. Saw a deer about a mile in and it just stopped and looked at us for a solid minute. I've been trying to get more steps in during the week, so this was a good challenge. My legs are definitely feeling it now though. Thinking of trying the canyon loop next weekend if the forecast holds. gQ9Xm9JXvsKxQ A friend mentioned there's a waterfall further up that we missed, so I want to go back and find it. Anyway, that's what I've been up to. Hope you're doing well!

I finally checked out that new coffee shop on 5th street. The line was out the door but it moved pretty fast. I ordered a lavender latte and a pastry, and honestly it was worth the wait. The place has a really nice vibe, exposed brick walls and plenty of seating. I brought my laptop hoping to get some work done, but ended up just people-watching and reading a book. I'll definitely go back, maybe later in the week when it's less crowded. The playlist was really good too, a lot of indie rock that I didn't recognize but Shazam came in handy. If you're free on Thursday, we should go together. I think you'd really like the atmosphere.
