Actually I ended up picking the wrong time for the call — I was supposed to join the group at 3 but my watch was still on the wrong time zone from the trip last weekend. I only realized it when I got a text from Mia saying they were already on dessert. So I just told them to save me a slice and I'd catch up later. The good thing is that by the time I arrived everyone was in a great mood and the place had this really nice relaxed vibe. We ended up hanging out for hours just chatting about random stuff like old times. It reminded me how much I miss those spontaneous get-togethers. Oh I finally tried that recipe you sent me last week — the one with the roasted vegetables and the tahini dressing. It turned out really well actually. I was a bit skeptical about the dressing because I've never been great at getting the consistency right but I just whisked it slowly and it came together perfectly.
